How do the best-performing practices follow up with their new patient enquiries?

It’s not by email. In fact, less than 23% of emails are actually read. Then you have to think about the vast proportion of those read emails that get closed instantly without any action taken. 

The best-performing practices and clinics follow up with texts. It may seem old school, but even today, text open rates are through the roof. Some 98% of texts are read.

90% of texts are read within three minutes of receiving them. This means that if you text a prospective patient after having received an enquiry, there is a high chance they will read it, which only increases the chance of getting them booked in for an appointment. 

Most people have their phones on them most of the time, so sending a quick text once you’ve got that enquiry coming through is an effective way of grabbing their attention!
