Dr. Grant McAree is well known in the dental world as a successful dentist, entrepreneur and marketer.

Here’s how he started as a squat, became the leading provider of Invisalign in his area – and then sold his practice.

The Challenge

Grant wanted to do more Invisalign cases but even though he stays ahead of the game with regard to marketing, he realised he needed a bit of help.

“Like I’ve always said it ain’t rocket science, but if you want to do it well, you need to get the big guns in.

I didn’t have the time to work out what happens after the patients click the advert. There’s a whole flow to build and I knew that’s a specialist thing.

It means people are more eager to buy and we can filter the patients who aren’t quite ready to go ahead just yet.

Can I learn it myself? Probably not. I’ve tried – and I couldn’t.”

The Journey

“When I went with Ignite and took their advice it really was quite a game changer. For example, they suggested we introduce online deposits so people couldn’t book a virtual consultation without paying a deposit.

Now I’ve got full days with patients who haven’t met me, haven’t seen me but they’re ready to go.

So it’s worked really well.

I’m achieving a conversion rate of about 100% for patients who have virtual consultations because they’ve paid the £10 deposit. We also took Ignite’s advice about getting in an extra scanner which has really helped treatment uptake.

The Results

Wth the increase in Invisalign uptake that Ignite helped deliver – Grant doubled turnover and doubled the size of the team.

“We were doing around five cases a month, and now I’m a Diamond provider – so obviously that’s made a massive difference.

Life has felt a lot better.

I used to do six days a week from eight o’clock in the morning to six o’clock at night. I’d probably be dead by now, so beat that for work life balance!”
